What's CBD?

CBD (or Cannabidiol, to give it its official name) is one of the at least 113 compounds found in the Cannabis plant. It can bring an array of benefits of skincare thanks to its potential anti-aging, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. CBD is a powerhouse botanical with more potent antioxidants than vitamin C or vitamin E. It is really life changing to achieve glowing skin, while if you suffer from acne or other skin problems it will really help your skin to heal.

In a few words it is the best natural ingredient for flawless skin! CBD fits naturally into your skincare routine because it is suitable for all skin types and it is full of fatty acids (omega 3 and omega 6). These are essential for keeping your skin hydrated, tacking dryness maintaining its elasticity and ensuring it stays youthfully supple.  CBD works so well because cannabinoid receptors are located thought out the skin and CBD has the capacity to interact with those receptors. The secret to its success lies in its interaction with your body’s natural Endocannabinoid system, which regulates numerous bodily functions and is said to range from appetite to reproduction, stress to temperature control and inflammation.

BE CAREFUL: CBD is not the same as Hemp seed oil! We suggest always to check the ingredients to actually know what you are buying: hempseed oil will be listed as Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil while CBD will usually be listed as Cannabidiol. Hemp seed oil has many unique benefits but cannot give you the same as CBD oil thanks to the entourage effect. It is manufactured only from the seeds of the cannabis sativa plant, while full spectrum* CBD oil uses the entire plant from stem to leaf for production. Hemp seed oil doesn’t have the same cannabinoid profile, terpens, or other beneficial compounds. You’re only getting a fraction of the benefits that you would from CBD oil and not tapping into the entourage effect.

*Full spectrum means that an oil or product contains all the cannabinoids that are naturally occurring in the cannabis plant.

PS: Don’t worry, it won’t get you high (as THC does) and It is not addictive so you won’t get hooked on it. CBD is also completely legal so you won’t get into trouble for using it!
